Chris Melissinos

A career spanning more than two decades in the video games industry, Chris Melissinos currently serves as a Worldwide Game Technology Strategist at AWS. He is the former Chief Gaming Officer and Chief Evangelist for Sun Microsystems, Inc., served as the Guest Curator and creator of "The Art of Video Games" exhibition at the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and a founding board member of the Video Game History Foundation. During his career, Melissinos has led the development of video game focused solutions from mobile to global infrastructure, enabling massively connected global experiences. His "The Art of Video Games" exhibition opened in Washington, DC in March of 2012 and explored the 40-year evolution of video games as an art form and impact of video games on American culture and was awarded the "Ambassador Award" at the 2013 Game Developers Choice Awards during the annual Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, CA.
